Our story

We started with a shelf. Then someone asked what's for dinner?

CLUBGHOR began in 2019 as a small Bangla bookshop in Gulshan. By 2021, the same kitchen that fed our team during long publishing nights had turned into Club Kitchen — and we never looked back.

Club Reads

We publish three to four titles a year — new Bangla voices, careful translations, and the occasional cookbook from our own kitchen. We curate everything else with the care of someone choosing books for their own shelf.

Club Kitchen

One head cook. One menu, changing with the season. Kacchi under coals from dawn, rolls fried to order, packaging you can recycle or compost. We cook what we'd eat at home — and a little better.

What we hold to

Three quiet rules.

01 · Slow is a feature.

Books take a year to make. Kacchi takes a day. We don't apologise for either.

02 · Local is the work.

Bangladeshi authors, Bangladeshi cooks, Bangladeshi paper and spice — wherever we can.

03 · Care is the brand.

Hand-wrapped books. Hand-packed meals. A handwritten note in every box when we have the time.

Come say hi.

Our reading room is open Friday afternoons. Bring a book, leave with one. Kitchen is closed Mondays.
